Zurich is currently hiring for a Claims Quality Consultant in our North America Offices: Schaumburg, IL; Dallas, TX; Rancho, CA; Atlanta, GA; Woodland Hills, CA; Omaha, NE; Overland Park; KS; Parsippany, NJ; Rocky Hill, CT. This is a hybrid position reporting into one of our Claims offices for up to 3 days a week. To coordinate the examination and the analysis of the quality of Claims handling for continuous improvement in the most effective and efficient way to support the delivery of a customer centric claims service in a manner which supports Zurich basics.
Job Accountabilities:
- To analyze and examine claims expertise through closed file review and open file reviews activities in order to identify and measure leakages and compliance issues in the claims assessment process.
- To identify possible solutions to be developed in the improvement areas, in order to continuously enhance claims handling process, with particular reference on damages expertise.
- To address solutions properly and translate them into Economic Value for the Company.
- Consulting closely with assigned business partners and ensuring that all stakeholders are immediately aware of any important issues that are identified during the files review.
- Adheres to local regulatory and governance requirements throughout the file review process to ensure that all information and data is obtained within data protection rules and regulations.
- To assist in planning and secure the implementation of Claims Quality activity in order to achieve the targets predefined by senior management.
- To assist in working with Business Divisions and Global Quality function in order to align local activities to global guidelines and best practices.
- Execute the new Claims Quality framework aligning with the Business Division Quality Assurance function and colleagues.
- Helps build and measure success against customer specific claims handling protocol and/or customer proposition service charter to ensure that we understand & fulfill the needs and expectations of our customers.
- Any additional tasks as assigned.
Business Accountabilities:
- Utilize established financial systems to track budgets and highlight variances in order to achieve financial effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Prepare draft manuals for own Claims area based on the accepted changes to policies and procedure, to ensure they are up to date and reflect the new policies.
- Research primary data sources, select relevant information, analyze key themes and trends and make recommendations to inform policy and/or product development.
- Research, review and analyze claims handling protocol and/or customer proposition to support senior management in developing and improving processes and systems relevant to area or discipline.
- Act as a technical expert in a process or product area, answering questions about what needs to be done in specific local situations to quickly resolve customer inquiries.
- Provide specialist advice to address specific technical queries from internal clients and deliver appropriate solutions, in line with the organization´s policies and processes and regulatory requirements.
- Support and work as a team member of projects in Claims management.

Job Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5 or more years of experience in Technical Claims, Claims or other Insurance area
OR
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree with 5 or more years of experience in the Technical Claims, Claims or other Insurance area
OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Technical Claims, Claims or other Insurance area
AND
- Knowledge of business and compliance practices in the insurance industry
Preferred:
- Technical Claims experience in General Liability, Financial Lines, Latent & Environmental, or Surety.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Effective conflict resolution, presentation and project management skills
- Auditing experience
