Job Description:

As a Business Analyst within our Virgin family, you’ll conduct effective analysis to clarify, define or evaluate business problems, opportunities or requirements for change in a manner which supports the identification of solutions which deliver value to the business within the chosen methodology.

Job Responsibilities:

• Validate proposed technical solution designs and test approaches to ensure alignment with requirements and business needs
• Ensure requirements and solution scope remain aligned and focused on delivery of business benefits throughout the epic
• Clarify, define and evaluate business problems, opportunities and elicit requirements for change from business stakeholders
• Ensure requirements (covering business, functional, non-functional) are documented, organised, prioritized
• Manage / support senior BA’s overall analysis efforts for larger projects / programs / investigations
• Determine appropriate approach to conducting analysis for projects (or investigative studies) and agree approach with epic stakeholders
• Manage & communicate requirements throughout the epic’s lifecycle
• Support selection of appropriate solutions (RFI / RFP) which deliver value
• Support project delivery activities
• Support assessment of commercial viability of proposed change
• Assess impact of proposed solution on the organisation (people, organisation, processes, metrics & systems etc) and support business readiness

Job Requirements:

• Ability to work independently where required & within a team
• Knowledge of agile ways of working (Safe, SCRUM etc)
• Knowledge of business analysis lifecycles and methodologies
• Proven business analysis skills applied in work environment

Qualification & Experience:

• Experience of working within a structured project environment
• Experience of waterfall project delivery methodologies
• Experience of working to time, cost, quality objectives.
• Experience of working in an Iterative or Agile delivery environment, and standard project tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure, Trello and Perform would be an advantage
