Job Description:

Reporting to the Senior Leader, Human Resources, the Advisor, Recruitment plays an integral role within the HR team ensuring all facets of our talent acquisition processes operate smoothly to enable the right staffing needs to support our organizational capability and performance. This role will help ensure maximum efficiency for our talent acquisition program including tactical support with candidate assessment and selection to influencing and delivering on recruitment strategies. The ideal candidate will work to elevate the overall recruiting function as critical part of Swoop’s growth.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify process improvement, further develop the recruitment function;
  • Educate and advise on effective interviewing techniques, and participate in interviews with hiring managers;
  • Build a pipeline of candidates for high-volume recruitment positions;
  • Coordinate and deliver recruitment events to target and attract top talent, maintaining a strong and diverse candidate pipeline;
  • Create job postings and develop sourcing strategies in alignment with the hiring manager;
  • Raise offers of employment verbally and via the HRIS Workday system;
  • Perform background and reference checks;
  • Provide coaching and advice to managers with regards to people management practices within recruitment and selection;
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to assist with finding the best talent;
  • Screen and short list candidates;
  • Provide an excellent candidate experience and represent Swoop as an employer brand ambassador

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to be comfortable with high volume workload in a solutions focused environment which demands strong deliverables;
  • A strong aptitude towards technology and computer skills including MS Office, Excel
  • RPR designation is considered an asset.
  • Proven ability in building strong and lasting internal relationships by working collaboratively in a complex stakeholder environment
  • Working within a high volume operational portfolio is considered an asset
  • Ability to maintain composure in dynamic, fast-paced situations and possess a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude to make things happen
  • Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines and handle competing priorities

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience with Workday is considered an asset
  • 2-5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience
  • A high school diploma, post-secondary education is considered an asset
