Swedish Match North America LLC, a consumer-packaged goods producer (CPG) and market leader of cigars and a broad assortment of smokeless tobacco products is currently seeking a Senior Developer in Richmond, VA.

The Senior Developer’s role is to independently perform technical design, coding and configuration as well as unit testing during solution development and enhancement to implement solutions which fulfill agreed requirements, and as part of solution maintenance to uphold agreed functionality, high availability, adequate performance and adequate usability. The Senior Developer may also be involved in system, integration, performance and conversion testing.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Create technical and functional design specifications.
  • Develop well designed, robust, performance optimized, commented, testable and efficient coding and configuration of solutions to meet functional, non-functional as well as technical design specifications, includes testing.
  • Document design, code, configuration and test procedures
  • Create and deploy build packages.
  • Maintain solutions and support users according to agreed service levels.
  • Continuously acquire the skills required to develop and configure the services and components within the scope of responsibilities.
  • Manage projects and activities including define and execute project/activity scope, time plan and budget.
  • May serve as Service Responsible meaning taking responsibility for the Service and drive the Service team

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent training/experience

EXPERIENCE:

At least five years’ experience in a relevant position. At least ten years’ work experience

SKILLS:

Strong skills in DynFO as a service, relevant applications, processes and technologies and understanding of associated best practices. Strong ownership of responsibilities. Value and result driven. Collaborative with Group IT colleagues, business colleagues and vendors. Advocate of teamwork. Planning and organizing work of self, with strong influence from modern ways of working with IT.
