Highlights:

As a Segmentation Developer, you empower and support teams across the organization by designing and developing advanced reporting and visualization tools. You excel at building dashboards, auditing and troubleshooting data issues and creating analytical solutions. You communicate regularly with internal clients to define requirements and present deliverables. You collaborate with Analytics and Data Science teams to discover visualization methods that effectively present advanced analytics data. You excel at guiding your program in an office environment while interacting with multiple teams simultaneously. You report to the Director of Marketing Analytics & Reporting for goals, guidance and assistance.

What you will do:

  • Encourage company-wide success by actively and consistently supporting all efforts to simplify and enhance the client experience.
  • Improve business units across the company by designing, developing and analyzing solutions based on underlying data sources, such as data warehouses, SQL databases, SSAS cubes and Excel files.
  • Design visualization tools that meet and exceed client expectations to accelerate the department’s transition from a report-focused to an analytics organization.
  • Query data from the SQL Server, Oracle and Teradata to access data for reports.
  • Ensure success by validating and debugging solutions based on test plans built from user requirements.
  • Finalize deliverables by preparing and presenting documentation to clients.
  • Maximize projects by providing the team with business and technical support.
  • Reduce costs by identifying risks and escalating to management appropriately.
  • Lead discussions and interact with Finance, Sales, Marketing and Operations to research, define and document requirements.
  • Improve analytics processes by designing visualization tools in Tableau, including reports, dashboards and what-if analyses.
  • Research and understand business processes to ensure data and information integrity when importing from source systems.
  • Perform additional duties related to this position as assigned.

Required keys for success:

  • One year of experience designing and building analytics tools in Tableau.
  • Two years of experience designing data visualization tools.
  • Two years of experience writing SQL.
  • Three years of direct client support.
  • Three years of experience in requirements analysis and documentation.
  • Three years of experience in data validation, analysis and debugging.
  • In-depth knowledge of database design, SQL and data warehousing.
  • History of interfacing with various levels in an organization.
  • Comprehensive data analysis skills with the ability to learn new technologies and tools.
  • Strong issue resolution skills with the ability to identify and evaluate solution alternatives.
  • Track record of working independently to solve problems under deadlines and to manage multiple projects and priorities under time constraints.
  • Detail-oriented with emphasis on accuracy and consistency.
  • Knowledge of data visualization and presentation methods for data analysis and interpretation and performance dashboards.
  • Prove ability to generate, manage and deliver presentations and reports capable of yielding insights and actionable results.
  • Effective written and spoken English communication skills with all levels of an organization.

How you will stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with Alteryx.
  • Familiar with MicroStrategy and Terradata.
  • Media or advertising industry experience.
  • Conceptual and logical data modeling experience.

Your education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in analytics, computer science, information technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience (required).
  • Master’s degree in analytics, computer science, information technology or a related field (preferred).
