Sodexo are currently looking to recruit an experienced Event Manager to work at Bateaux London and deliver a world class guest experience. Bateaux London offers guests the chance to experience the vibrance, majesty and unmatched views of our incredible city from a gloriously different perspective.

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated individual who will actively lead and take accountability for the successful delivery of all event business across Bateaux; you will undertake operational multi-site event planning and delivery across London Heritage sites whilst working closely with the sales and event planning teams to maximise revenue opportunities.
You will have previous experience within hospitality and major events, able to navigate the logistics of large-scale events, with meticulous planning and organisation skills; you will be a confident communicator, able to interface at all levels.

Main Responsibilities
- Actively lead and take accountability for the successful delivery of all event business across Bateaux
- Undertake operational multi-site event planning and delivery across London Heritage sites as required
- Work closely with the sales and event planning teams to maximise revenue opportunities
- Promote upselling opportunities to clients and sales and events team colleagues
- Manage event operational costs in line with budget
- Forecast labour productivity and equipment requirements
- Training direct and agency employees to the appropriate standard befitting a 5* event business
- Responsible for Increasing and maintaining guest satisfaction against internal service metrics
- Effectively coordinate with the Operational HODs on all package, food and beverage service requirements for each event
- Ensure all opening and closing procedures are set out and managed
- To ensure all beverage service is compliant with the Bateaux and partner site Licenses
- Ensure all Allergen related communications and processes are strictly adhered to with each sailing
- To mentor all event supervisors and staff with training and development
The Ideal Candidate
Essential
- Demonstrable experience in a high-volume environment – major events, high end event venues, multi-site ODC operators, hotel CB/FB
- Demonstrate experience in Health and Safety management
- Personal License Holder
- A competent communicator and ability to present to colleagues and peers
- An intermediate level Food Hygiene qualification
- Evidence of being organised and possess excellent planning skill
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team
Desirable
- Supervising Food Safely Level 3 qualification
- WSET level 2
- Experience in the delivery of retail/banqueting operations
- Experience of working with clients in a contract catering environment
- Staff training experience or qualification
