POSITION SUMMARY: The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients, rehabilitation needs, planning, implementing, and modifying treatment programs according to age appropriate needs. In addition to direct patient intervention, the Occupational Therapist is involved in the education of patient, family, caregivers and staff regarding the patient’s functional level. The Occupational Therapist may participate in student education and other related duties as required or assigned by supervisor. The equipment used may include, but is not limited to: computer, paraffin bath, whirlpool/fluidotherapy, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, splinting pan, heat gun, ionotophoresis, tx tables, pulleys. Occupational Therapist must be proficient in skills needed to treat patients in acute and outpatient setting. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for building and retaining personal referral base through physician relations and marketing. The Occupational Therapist and Director will set established goals mutually agreed upon that are measured and monitored by the department Director.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification/Registrations – Active Registration from State of Colorado, Active BLS certification. Licensure from State of Colorado is required.

Education – Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.

Experience –2 years clinical experience as an occupational therapist preferred. New Graduates accepted.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Able to perform all evaluations, assessments and treatment planning required in this position. Effective verbal and written communications.

Orientation Period – 90 days.
