Are you looking to join our team? Manage administrative and support functions at the direction of the Flight Operations Management team. Serve as a liaison between Flight Operations and other departments, such as HR, Maintenance, Scheduling, Crew Planning and Customer Service to ensure key information is communicated effectively in support of Flight Operations. The Flight Operations Administrative Specialist is based at headquarters and reports to the VP of Flight Operations

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate pilot retirement, termination and resignation issues with all required departments and personnel
  • Provide administrative support to the pilot and inflight groups
  • Coordinate pilot Leave of Absences (LOA) requests with company Human Resources department
  • Provide support for Flight Operations programs, initiatives and administrative duties
  • Create reports and analyze pilot absences
  • Process invoices and expense reports for the VP of Flight Operations
  • Manage the general upkeep and organization of the Chief Pilot Office at headquarters
  • File, distribute, track and analyze various Flight Operations reports to assist with identifying trends and facilitate effective resolution
  • Effectively communicate company goals/objectives to pilots
  • Assist Chief Pilot with coordination of the pilot hiring
  • Become proficient in NVBLUE AVIOLINX to assist the Chief Pilot’S Office and Inflight department

Job Requirements:

  • Familiarity with the airline working environment to include; airline terminology and city codes, safety and security, company forms, company mail processes, company route structures and schedules
  • Self-motivated and ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Must be highly organized with ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work with confidential material
  • Working knowledge of company policies and procedures, Federal Aviation Regulations and pilot collective bargaining agreement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include the ability to interact and respond positively and professionally with flight crews, other department personnel, and outside vendors/agencies
  • Proficient in Aviolinx/RAIDO – preferred
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Must be extremely flexible; willing and able to prioritize Silver Airways work schedule when necessary to meet project deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of airline style manuals

Qualification & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Airline/airport operations experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible office administration or similar experience
