About the job
Tempe, Arizona-based Pivot Cycles seeks a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and value driven software business analyst to join at the ground level of a growing software development team. The analyst will work closely with the product owners, business stakeholders, and developers to define, write, test, and follow software requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
What you’ll do:
- Act as a business and development liaison
- Communicate software requirements to developers
- Define user stories
- Define acceptance criteria
- A member of defining completion of software requirements
- Refine epics into smaller development items
- Responsible for user acceptance testing
What we are looking for:
- 2-4 years of working in an agile SDLC as a business analyst or quality assurance analyst
- A self-starter looking to jump into a growing development team
- Excellent communication and project/stakeholder management skills
- Experience with agile and SCRUM methodologies and best practices
- Analytical and able to make data driven decisions
- Highly collaborative and willing to work in a cross functional environment
- Juggle changes in priorities and able to be flexible when needed
- Experience in Jira preferred but not required
- Experience using SQL to query data and confirm assumptions
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Familiarity with mountain bike technology and culture preferred
What we’d be thrilled with (nice-to-haves):
- Experience with CRM development/administration
- Familiarity with Shopify eCommerce platform, and WordPress sites
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains
