PinkNews is seeking a HR Assistant to support the HR function of the business. Reporting to the People & Culture Manager and working closely with the Talent Manager, this is a role that will provide a real opportunity to improve the employee experience and offer exceptional HR support to our People team.

You will be working closely with the wider team to ensure documentation is up to date and offering HR support when needed. The role is a generalist HR position and you’ll gain experience working on a variety of tasks across the People team including the full employee life cycle, HRIS management, performance review management, recruitment support, benefit reviews and assisting with payroll.


  • Manage our People inbox to deal with day-to-day queries
  • Support the full employee life cycle to include our onboarding and leaving processes
  • Manage our performance review cycles in January and July, working with managers to ensure all documentation is up to date
  • Work with the People team to conduct bi-annual salary benchmarking and our annual benefits review
  • Assist our People team with recruitment admin to include but not limited to diary management and liaising with candidates
  • Preparation of paperwork including offer letters, contracts, contract changes, and references
  • Updating and maintaining our HRIS system
  • Provide payroll support to People & Culture Manager
  • Support the implementation of our learning and development strategy
  • Assist with HR audits to ensure compliance across the People team

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a HR role preferred
  • A sound understanding of HR processes
  • Strong planning and prioritisation skills
  • Collaborative and emotionally intelligent.
  • Clear commitment towards diversity and inclusion.
  • Strong communication skills
