Job Description

Utilize computer-based CMMS application, INFOR/SAP, MyBuy, and S4HANA to manage parts and materials inventory and activities for the plant.

Accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Order all maintenance related materials/supplies/parts
  • Ensure on-time delivery ordered supplies/parts
  • Maintain ledger/budget on a period basis
  • Process invoices in a timely manner
  • Create Purchase Orders for payment to vendors/supplies
  • Serve as vendor/supplier point of contact
  • Manage and reconcile maintenance inventories annually and support production period end raw material counts.
  • Work with Process Improvement Engineer, Supervisors, and Managers with obsolescence of parts
  • Maintain organized parts room and storage areas
  • Manage returns to suppliers
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of materials/supplies/parts as well as hazardous waste storage/disposal
  • Other duties as assigned by manager


  • 3-5 years’ experience in parts coordination or inventory control/purchasing in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent computer and math skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Have a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic parts, oils/greases, and mechanical drawings
  • Ability to meet or exceed established deadlines
  • Able to drive a forklift preferred but not required
  • Complete project work assigned by Manager
