As an Interventional Radiology Nursing Supervisor you will be part of an amazing interdisciplinary team environment. You will work under the general supervision of the unit’s director and you will assume responsibility for the direction and the coordination of all functions in the IR Department on your designated shifts. You will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients and to provide direction and supervisions to other staff caring for patients.

Here is some of what you can expect from being an Interventional Radiology Nursing Supervisor with us:

  • Your position is and RN who demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for his/her patients.
  • Under the direction of the Radiology Director, manages daily operations of Interventional Radiology.
  • Your role may rotate to other areas other than his/her normally assigned service area/s, and will perform those duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency.
  • You will delegates duties consistent with his/her scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at NSMC.
  • Your role displays positive support for NSMC as well as the entire HealthONE organization.
  • You will care for patients from adolescent to geriatric.
  • Your roles serves as the educator for Imaging services and participates on committees.
  • You are responsible for supply/inventory management, responsible for staff performance and evaluations, as well as responsible for Interventional Radiology QC and PI data. Serves as an educational resource to all radiology staff and hospital departments.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current AART or Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. AHA or ARC BLS certification. AHA or ARC ACLS certification (RN only)

Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN desirable.

Experience: 2 years critical care experience in specialty unit preferred (Critical Care, Emergency Department, PACU, Radiology).

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrates good organizational skills. Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Standards of Nursing Practice at NSMC. Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers. The DI RN must be able to function independently, be multi-task oriented, and show excellent prioritizing skills as well as verbal and written communication skills.

Degree of Supervision Required: Under supervision of Director or Manager of Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Patient Care Supervisor.
