The Assistant Product Development Manager will manage all aspects of the product development process for categories in the women’s & men’s woven division for both Wholesale and DTC businesses. This individual will also work with vendors on seasonal buys and monthly anchor/key item buys, as well as confirm all final details such as costs and INDC dates and input data into corporate systems to initiate the PO process. create, review and maintain purchase orders within our order management system. Additionally, the position will work cross functionally with our Nautica Design, Merchandising/Buyers, Fabric/Trim, Sales and POD teams, as well as with our external vendor partners.


  • Facilitate communication between internal cross-functional departments and factories/vendor base on daily product development and production follow-up within department.
  • Manage all aspects of product development process, such as working with design, facilitating comments between overseas offices and design teams, attending and monitoring fit process/approvals,
  • Review all PO Discrepancies and facilitate information to the POD team to update/correct, for both Direct to Consumer and Wholesale businesses.
  • Oversee the sample tracking for proto and showroom sample milestone dates to ensure on-time delivery based on corporate milestones, including Photo shoot sample requests.
  • Manage cost logs for seasonal product development thru to confirmed costs needed for order placement.
  • Manage any product delays impacting shipping and receipt of product for our DC dates.
  • Understand, adhere, and drive calendar deadlines for product flow.
  • Understand and ensure compliance to Aero OpCo business operations and policies
  • Able to assist the analyzing and reporting of seasonal business to manager and above.
  • Build strong partnerships and collaborate with Design, Merchandising, Buyers and Sales


  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Product Development/Production
  • Basic understanding of logistics/shipping
  • Systems Savvy and computer proficient; Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel
  • Systems Knowledge/ experience a plus: Garpac/AS400, and DESL
  • Highly motivated, self-starter
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal project management and time management skills
