Job Description
Mott MacDonald is supporting a prestigious aviation client deliver ambitious transportation upgrade programs which support the connectivity and communities for the entire state of North Carolina. We are seeking project managers to join our team to support our client as part of an embedded program.
Responsibilities of the position may include, but may not be limited to:
- Oversee the completion and execution of a variety projects a variety of projects ranging in total fee of $50,000 to $500,000+.
- Ability to schedule projects, coordinate other disciplines and subcontractors. Periodically reviews project schedule and progress on the projects they are assigned.
- Outlines problems and methods of approach for other engineers in the successful execution of projects.
- Assists in the completion and execution of several varied assignments simultaneously. Must be able to multi-task several assignments and/or deliverables.
- Reviews and analyzes a variety of engineering data to determine requirements to meet objectives.
- Ability to setup project budgets to meet client expectations.
- Ability to coordinate with individual airports to effectively scope, budget, and manage delivery of a program of projects.
- Applies knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignment and related fields.
- Will be required to prepare reports, project schedules, progress reports, and budget status reports.
Candidate Specification
The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (B. S.) or equivalent in Civil Engineering. (Masters degree a plus).
- 5+ years’ experience in civil engineering with focus on design and infrastructure.
- Heavy Civil and municipal project management experience working directly with clients and sub-contractors, developing and managing budgets, technical writingeports, and developing and reviewing project schedules.
- Must be able to interact with several different teams in the execution of projects.
- Should be a self-starter with good communication skills able to work effectively with both internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Strong presentation skills and communication skills.
- Must have ability to travel to client and work as part of a collaborative team.
