Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

• Establish and manage key stakeholder relationships to achieve integrated patient care and positive clinical outcomes
• Ensure a positive patient experience in line with corporate benchmarks
• Ensure optimal utilization of a competent and engaged workforce and other resources in line with the relevant company guidelines
• Manage patient risks to achieve patient safety in line with specified clinical outcomes
• Support the Nursing Manager to achieve quality patient care in line with the hospital operational goals and objectives
• Lead and manage direct reports

Job Requirements:

• Healthcare industry
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and quality assurance methodologies
• Financial management
• Patient complaint management
• Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols
• Nursing functional knowledge
• Productivity management in nursing
• Knowledge and experience in auditing and accreditation processes
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Clinical risk management
• Relevant nursing legislation

Qualification & Experience:

• Degree/diploma in nursing, Appropriate leadership/management qualification
• 2 – 3 years experience in a supervisory position within a specialized unit
• 5 years experience in a supervisory position, e.g. Unit Manager
