Magstim EGI is looking to add an Finance Coordinator to our Plymouth, MN office. We are a small office of 15 employees, and part of a larger international organization with offices in Wales, UK and Maastricht, Netherlands.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
• Maintains the general ledger.
• Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
• Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
• Conduct collection calls to obtain payment commitments and negotiating payment terms
• Prepare journal entries monthly
• Performing other related duties and participating in special projects as assigned
• Researching and rectifying account discrepancies
• Assisting with full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Managing commercial insurances

Skills for success:

• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (pivot table, graphs helpful)
• The people skills to work with individuals in and out of the organization
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A desire to learn/develop finance career
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
• Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
• Suggested education is a BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Develop specific goals and benchmarks to prioritize, organize and accomplish your work in a timely manner
