About the job
Ability to design water and wastewater pipeline, pavement, pavement markings and signing, roadway drainage, land grading, culvert, traffic control and SW3P.
Must have the ability to analyze and interpret public agencies regulations and procedures.
Knowledge of drainage design software packages including HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and other drainage analysis software is a plus.
Experience with design-build projects is a plus.
Proficient with AutoCAD – Civil 3D, Microstation and other design software.
Must be able to work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other teams where overlap of client project work exists.
Ability to work and interface with client staff at various levels (engineering, operations, maintenance, etc.) in a positive manner.
Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individual or groups of clients and the general public.
Desired Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University.
Professional Engineer Licensed in Texas or ability to get within first 6 months of employment. CFM is a plus.
Ability to interface effectively with existing and prospective clients.
Must be pre-certified with TXDOT or ability to get pre-certification within first 6 months of employment.
