Our Finance Team is looking for a new Procurement Category Manager. Ideally a candidate with experience in Procurement of Services (ideally temp labor) will be a very strong contender. Selling point – The opportunity to manage and improve the amount of spend in temp labor
Your Role
This position will handle national procurement projects of indirect expense categories and management of Contingent/Temporary Labor, Packaging and IT categories. Analytical and negotiation skills are essential to success in the position. This position will include all steps of the procurement process from identification of savings potential to bidding, negotiation, awarding and implementation with direct communication with vendors and in-house stakeholders. General responsibilities include project management in various spend categories
Your Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the operations with all their Contingent/Temporary Labor, Packaging and IT categories procurement needs
- Coordinate and guide all Material Handling Equipment and Packaging operations activities within the country and branches and secure alignment with procurement strategy
- Supplier Relationship Management SRM of Contingent/Temporary Labor, Packaging and IT Suppliers
- Manage suppliers and contract relations for Contingent/Temporary Labor, Packaging and IT including performance measurement and improvement plans (e.g. contract renegotiations, price indexation etc.)
- Highlight any KN issues of non-compliance within Contingent Labor and operations.
- Main contact for external service providers for national issues.
- Handling of all Major issues and escalation with Contingent/Temporary Labor, Packaging and IT suppliers and issues within the set limits
Lead sourcing initiatives
Identify specific sourcing opportunities and their potential financial impact
- Help gather key business requirements, data and feedback in vendor selection process
- Prepare & solicit quotes or competitive bids from vendors
- Lead supplier selection and negotiate vendor pricing and contracts
Manage the day-to-day procurement process
- Oversee purchase order activities and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
- Assist in qualifying new vendors prior to vendor set-up
- Ensure that preferred vendor pricing, service levels and agreed upon terms are being honored by vendors in transactions
- Manage vendor relationships and serve as a point of escalation for stakeholders
Assist in the development and implementation of procurement plans, policies and procedures
- Document and communicate procedures for all sourcing processes
- Identify and implement process improvement, savings opportunities and sustainability targets
- Track and report procurement metrics
Your Skills And Experiences
- BS degree
- The ideal candidate will have 3 – 5 years of experience in Contingent/temporary Labor and/or Packaging category management and indirect procurement spend category
- Contingent/Temp Labor experience is MANDATORY
- Proven track record and demonstrated ability to manage projects self-responsibly
- Expertise in other indirect spend Categories, like IT, office supplies, etc.
- Excellent organizational, communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills to foster respect and teamwork with internal an external partners

- Very good verbal and written English and local language skills.
