We are looking for a rock-solid candidate to join the Kinetic Distribution team. This is a small, fast-paced, and high functioning team that is focused on evangelizing a new value proposition in Workers’ Compensation and building a thriving and active broker network.

As a part of the Kinetic team, you’ll get to tackle the challenges and reap the rewards that come from scaling something new. You will be part of a fast paced Insurtech environment, a culture of innovators and game changers and you will ride the wave of excitement that comes with pioneering the future of Workers Comp Insurance.

The ideal candidate has experience building or growing broker networks, has experience in distributing or underwriting Workers Compensation Insurance and has relationships and knowledge in the flow and placement of this product. Title consideration will range from Regional VP, Business Development Director or Territory Manager – depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Open relationships with specifically targeted agency partners within the region.
  • Solicitation of submissions from appointed brokers that fit our program appetite that helps drive our profitable growth goals.
  • Submission pipeline management to support the Kinetic Underwriting team to bind qualified business and hit our GWP targets.
  • Active monitoring responsibility for maintaining target funnel metrics in your territory: Submission volume, Submission to Quote Ratio, Hit Ratio, Average Premium (Quoted and Bound), Diversification of Submission and Binds Across Class Codes.
  • Develop strong relationships with agents and practice leaders throughout the region, building Kinetic’s brand credibility.
  • Development of a distribution plan that strategically considers how to penetrate and win agent mindshare in our target brokerages .
  • Monitor new sales, retention, rate-adequacy, and commission metrics monthly to ensure premium plan goal achievement.
  • Promote and educate brokers on Kinetic’s wearable technology.
  • Works closely with all company departments to optimize Kinetic’s total brand offering to the marketplace.
  • This is an “on-the-road”/high-relationship building function requiring lots of travel, high-level of communications skill, direct broker contact and direct selling contact with targeted prospects/clients.
  • Job requires ongoing sales prospecting and finding qualifying business originating from the territory.
  • Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and deadline structures.
    • Independent and “self-starting”. Comfortable with a start-up environment, fluid job responsibilities, rapid change and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with all departments.
    • Resourceful. Problem solving and idea generation on your own is a regular part of the job to help drive business objectives and successful outcomes.
    • Understanding of urgency. Kinetic has aggressive growth goals within aggressive timelines and we need individuals that thrive and excel under pressure; people that embrace that the pace of work and expectations on performance here will be much different than other traditional Insurance companies.
    • Preferably, proficient with the Google Suite of business products.
    • 5-10 years of insurance experience.
