As a Commercial Banking Event Specialist Associate, you will work to implement and deliver world class events for our clients and prospects by leveraging strategic marketing plans that increase sales and grow market share for Commercial Banking. You will work closely with CB Marketing & Strategy partners including the Market Intelligence, Creative Services, Digital, Media Relations and Communications teams.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Support client engagement efforts for various regions and industries within CB
  • Plan for and support high-profile customer events, including idea generation, venue selection, budget management, internal/external communications, etc.
  • Source appropriate internal and external venue for events that are unique, appropriate, and high quality quickly and efficiently.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of internal events for leadership and executive teams
  • Execute against client event calendar
  • Collaborate with the various functional areas of Commercial Banking Marketing to manage aspects of larger projects, sponsorships and events for the business
  • Work with the Creative Services team to create invitations, graphics, and other client-facing materials (collateral, web content)
  • Identify areas for continued process improvement and efficiencies
  • Maintain project budgets and provide ongoing tracking to management and stakeholders
  • Ensure that all data metrics are entered into appropriate system in a timely and accurate manner
  • Keep meticulous files and records for each project
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of matrix managers
  • Travel 25 – 30%

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 4 – 5 years of event planning, project management, business management or corporate communications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to deliver messages clearly and succinctly
  • Demonstrated skill in writing announcements, invitations and letters
  • Expertise with Excel (data manipulation and analysis, equations, etc.) and PowerPoint (creating and editing presentations)
  • Ability to manage projects across businesses, functions and geographic locations
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, forward-thinking, proactive
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • High degree of professionalism and flexibility
  • Demonstrates discretion and good judgment
  • Aggressive self-starter, ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member
