The Payments Influencers and Engagement Marketing team plays a critical role in driving and enabling this growth through delivering best-in-class solutions that bring the value story to life through our clients’ eyes.
The Influencers and Engagement Manager will work closely with the broader Payments marketing, and communications team, along with client experience, product, field and internal/external partners to define, support and coordinate event marketing efforts spotlighting our payment solutions. Events include client seminars, client conferences, industry conferences and sponsorships, client entertainment and internal meetings. This role is perfect for someone who is detail oriented, a strong project manager, innovative, strategic, customer-focused and can drive change through relationships, see the forest and the trees and execute on a broader vision.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the J.P. Morgan’s Payments product business.
- Develop and execute the marketing strategy in alignment with the overall go-to-market strategies for the suite of Payments products.
- Develop and implement messages and themes in alignment with the business’ overall strategy.
- Develop and implement event marketing programs to include:
- Provide objectives, budgets, project plans, on-site support, communication, evaluation and reporting.
- Build and manage project teams, engaging appropriate internal and external partners.
- Ensure marketing objectives, business strategy and brand guidelines drive planning decisions.
- Coordinate and influence stakeholder buy-in.
- Manage and operate within budget. Track and forecast spend.
- Establish production schedules, track progress of activities and follow-up as required.
- Identify and coordinate speaking opportunities as they relate to event marketing programs.
- Identify and coordinate advertising opportunities as they relate to event marketing programs.
- Identify and coordinate event-related public relations efforts as they relate to event marketing programs.
- Manage events on site as needed.
- Integrate messages/themes into programs by directing the creation of invitations, booth & staging designs, speaking points, presentations, related advertising, etc.
- Assist in the identification and selection of client entertainment activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 5 years event/marketing experience
- Experience in banking or financial services a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work under deadlines quickly, efficiently and with minimal errors
- Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

- Expertise with Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) required
- Ability to use marketing and reporting tools such as Salesforce.com, Marketo, a plus
- Travel required, extensive at times
