About the job

Independent Pharmacy Cooperative is a group purchasing organization (GPO) in the independent pharmacy market that also operates as a secondary wholesaler with warehouses in Sun Prairie, WI and Phoenix, AZ. This 8 – 10-week, summer internship will be held in person at the Sun Prairie, WI office and will focus on the operations and programs/services offered to our independent pharmacies of the Cooperative. Schedule is flexible within IPC’s standard office hours of 8 – 5 PM CT Monday – Friday.

Aspects of the Internship:

Project work in purchasing with our business enterprise system (MS D365)

Coordinate systems between marketing and purchasing

Project work on member programs within pharmacy services

Comprehend the role of independent pharmacy in healthcare and communities

Exposure to various departments at IPC but focus on purchasing and pharmacy services

Participate in MRA’s Intern Leadership Program

Provide insight or suggestions for department improvement by the end of the internship

Requirements:

Must be a current Junior or Senior in college with a business or communications major

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Must have good verbal and written communication skills

Must have own transportation to and from the office

An interest in the pharmacy industry is preferred
