In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates operational processes, develops and delivers Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions to meet company goals and objectives
  • Demonstrates project management skills and serves as a technical lead on IT projects
  • Resolves moderately complex computer security issues by designing, developing, and implementing innovative technical solutions
  • Assists with the development of guidelines and standards to be utilized in software development/ integration including developing custom integration solutions with major enhancements, interfaces, functions, and features, leading implementation plans for integration testing, interfaces with testing teams to incorporate
  • Provides technical guidance or business process expertise, technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members both inside and outside their areas of responsibility while looking for ways to apply the latest technologies for improvements to software and organizational effectiveness
  • Participates in planning sessions with customers to improve business processes and prioritize investments in process, people, services, and infrastructure
  • Ensures the adherence to quality standards and procedures, reviews modules for quality assurance, and ensures compliance with application architecture standards
  • Defines development guidelines and standards to be utilized in software development/integration including developing custom integration solutions with major enhancements, interfaces, functions, and features
  • Provides technical guidance in RPA platform
  • Works closely with Technical Review Board and Enterprise Architects to assure all systems align with the long-term IT strategy
  • Assesses customer needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to prioritize immediate business needs
  • Design, develop and deploy tools and RPA automation bots and workflows to meet business objectives

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to make and maintain RESTFUl API calls
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive
  • Demonstrated experience managing applications in Windows Server/UNIX environments.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, maintain accurate records, prioritize work and analyze problems to develop innovative and effective solutions
  • Ability to identify appropriate level of team interactions to resolve issues and lead effective collaboration and meetings
  • Has a broad level of understanding surrounding information systems and application architecture standards
  • Good working knowledge of the SDLC
  • Demonstrated initiative to maintain technical currency through outside studies and training
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying and resolving technical problems and effectively communicating the problems to vendors, customers, and team members
  • Demonstrates broad level industry knowledge

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience with an RPA platform
  • Experience with automation- Not just developing automation, but knowing why we automate and what to automate
