Job Description:

By promoting compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, you’ll asses potential cases of occupational injuries and illness; investigating, managing, and reporting individual cases appropriately and establishing if this is a single case or if there is wider incidence. You’ll assist in the organization of health promotion activities and events and provide education and training on various departments within Harrods on matters related to occupational health and wellbeing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • As an Occupational Health Advisor, you’ll deliver the application of evidence based OH practice to a high standard in the workplace. You’ll be responsible for assessing the fitness of individual job applicants and workers for specific tasks, ensuring a good fit between applicants and job, recommending suitable adjustments to enable a person to undertake the work they have been selected to perform safely and effectively. You’ll case-manage workers who are on sick leave, working with other health professionals to ensure the earliest return of functional capacity and return to work. You’ll provide advice on the provision of safe and healthy conditions by informed clinical assessment of the physical and psychological aspects of the working environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Computer literate with a good knowledge of Word and Excel and medical/occupational health electronic systems.
  • Flexible and adaptable in order to cope with the ever-increasing needs of the OH department.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills and is able to communicate to Harrods Employees at all levels within the company.
  • A good team player with exemplary communication skills and ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Can deal with pressure and demanding situations and remains composed under such circumstances.

Qualification & Experience:

  • A Registered Nurse with a BSc (Hons) or BA (Hons) Occupational Health and be a Specialist Community Nurse Practitioner on the Nursing Midwifery Council register.
