We are looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist – Neuro-Oncology to join the team at our centre based in Oxford.
As the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) for Neuro-Oncology you will have a lead nursing responsibility for providing support, information and advice to patients and relatives with a diagnosis of a malignant primary brain tumor or brain metastases.
The CNS is a key member of the neurology-Oncology multidisciplinary team with a responsibility to contribute to wider service delivery.
What You’ll Do
- The CNS works as part of the Neuro-oncology multi-disciplinary team (MDT), working closely with Oncology Consultants, Neurosurgeons, Neuroradiologists, Radiographers and Chemotherapy Nurses to support people with tumours, or suspected tumours of the brain and spine or with brain metastasis.
- Manage a clinical caseload and act as a designated resource to patients, families, and other shared care professionals.

Qualifications And Knowledge
- Registered Nurse
- Evidence of recent appropriate clinical practice specific to the specialism.
- NMC registration
- Relevant post registration programme qualification
In line with government requirements, to fulfil the duties of this role you are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 by 1st April 2022, unless exempt for medical reasons. If successful, you will be required to provide evidence of vaccination or Medical exemptions.
