We are looking for a Personal Trainer to join the team at our centre based in Newmarket, Cambridge.

As the Personal Trainer you are responsible for providing the day to day co-ordination and delivery of the Exercise Medicine Service. You will be working under the supervision of the Exercise Clinic Lead (ECL) to provide guidance and support to people with a prescribed exercise programme as part of their cancer treatment.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure all work undertaken complies with the GenesisCare vision and values and promotes the vision and values within your workplace. Follow the GenesisCare Code of Conduct and all relevant policies and procedures for your position.
  • Be aware of the close working relationship with partnership hospitals and third parties (where relevant) and the requirement to comply with their company local rules and policies
  • Carry out any other duties commensurate with the level of the job role
  • Actively follow all GenesisCare UK policies, procedures and relevant legal regulations (including Fire & Safety)
  • Actively commit to working in an open, transparent and honest manner within a culture dedicated to learning and improvement that strives to avert avoidable harm (statutory Duty of Candour)

What You’ll Have

Qualifications and Knowledge:

Essential

  • Level 3 Qualified Personal Trainer with at least 3 years of experience
  • Personal practicing insurance cover
  • Knowledge of Oncology and long-term conditions

Desirable

  • GP referral qualification -REPS
  • Qualified to level 4 REPS – Cancer exercise rehabilitation
  • REPS registered plus requirement to maintain ongoing registration
  • First Aid Qualification (1 or 3 day)
  • Specialist population instructor qualifications as appropriate
  • Motivational and behavioural interviewing qualification/experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft, Excel and databases

In line with government requirements, to fulfil the duties of this role you are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 by 1st April 2022, unless exempt for medical reasons. If successful, you will be required to provide evidence of vaccination or Medical exemptions.
