The Account Manager Collector is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates. The primary responsibility is to resolve early delinquency through collections activities. The AM Collector minimize losses to the portfolio by helping borrowers avoid delinquency and unnecessary fees, while also maintaining compliance standards in accurately documenting accounts in accordance with Fair Debt Collection Practices Act [FDCPA], state and federal regulatory guidelines, and company policies and procedures.

What you will do for Fay:

  • Keep current with the market changes and regulations pertaining to the job
  • Primarily handles outbound collection efforts
  • Works outbound dialer campaigns to optimize collection efforts
  • Works outbound dial campaigns for investor driven requests
  • Make analytical assessments of mortgagor’s financial standing
  • Identify and sell solutions for early delinquency loans
  • Educate borrowers on self – service options
  • Assist borrowers to avoid charges and resolves fees on loans
  • Referral source for Insurance, Originations, and Realtor opportunities
  • Provide “best in class” service on every call
  • Properly document all borrower communications
  • Adhere to all corporate policies as well as internal, external and compliance guidelines
  • Maintain a compliance score above 95%
  • Understand and achieve metrics as set by department

What you bring to Fay:

  • Collections or telephonic Customer Service experience is a plus
  • Any mortgage experience is ideal
  • Associates degree preferred; some college is required
  • Must be able to implement rules and regulations to be compliant with investor and SPS guidelines
  • Comfortable working in a sales environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Exposure to a sales platform is a plus
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Must have a professional demeanor
  • Strong internal and external customer service skills, including professional telephone manner and ability to write short business correspondence
  • Track record of building relationships with customers
  • Proven ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Detail oriented with the ability to accurately gather, maintain and analyze data
  • Strong multi-tasking, self-management / self-motivating skills
  • Ability to take direction while maintaining self-management /self-motivating skills
  • Ability to acclimate to an ever changing/fast paced environment
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient computer and keyboard aptitude; familiarity with basic Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
