What We Expect of You?

• Verifies quality data entries within SMA freeing up site leads to be on the job floor supervising and training technicians.
• Performs special projects at customer site with supervision as needed from senior technical experts or project management.
• Maintains records of repairs and maintenance performed using local database.
• Assists with failure analysis by providing information on mode of failure on each equipment failure.
• Submits information to Edwards technical department to drive equipment improvements.
• Manages site computer
• Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance. Other duties as assigned.
• Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation. Respectfully takes direction from [supervisor/ manager].

Education/ Experience

• High School Diploma.
• Prefer an AS degree. (full military equivalent may substitute for AS degree)

Relevant Previous Experience

• 1-3 years of equivalent experience in relevant technical field such as electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration or basic vacuum.

Knowledge Areas/Skills

• Must have a positive attitude, be energetic and enthusiastic, and possess a strong willingness to learn and a commitment to excellence.
• A self-starter who can set priorities, demonstrate initiative and the ability to get the job done. Must be capable of following instructions and exercising good independent judgment when appropriate.
• Possess excellent customer interfacing and communication skills.
• Able to learn how to read engineering drawings and electrical diagrams. Become competent in the use of test equipment including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools. Possess basic computer skills which includes thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Successful completion of Physical Capability assessment required.
