The Role

Purpose of the On-Site Operations Manager role is to oversee all aspects of service support for the onsite team. This includes operations & maintenance of all covered equipment, product delivery, installation in line with customer agreements and expectations. To provide direction and co-ordination for on-site service supervisors and technical personnel and to provide a site service customer interface to ultimately grow the sites service business. Communicates with Regional Service/Account Manager on issues or opportunities that may arise on equipment, personnel, sales, or other items that could have an impact on the account.

  • Create an environment at customer site that is safe for employees and customer personnel and performs with the highest levels of operational excellence in mind.
  • Assist with growing revenue for service and sales teams by ensuring that safety, quality, and training all continue to advance the service team and to ensure Edwards is First in Mind- First in Choice for all Edwards service support opportunities.
  • Responsible for the management of Onsite Team Leaders/Onsite Service Technicians (OST)/Onsite Service Engineers (OSE) and other personnel utilized in the performance of this Agreement.
  • This position will be the primary communication link from customer’s factory to Edwards, and will participate in customer’s various equipment improvements teams, ramp teams, tool down escalation meetings, safety meetings, management reviews, bill of material audits, etc., as requested.
  • Plan and support coordination and scheduling of both classroom and on-the-job training.
  • This will include cross training programs to maintain and improve the skills of the OST/OSE’s and customer’s factory personnel assigned to Seller’s Equipment.
  • This position will also be trained in technical operation of equipment to be next level escalation for onsite issues and to improve interface with factory support when required.

Education level

  • Engineering Bachelor’s Degree level education, and a minimum of eight (6) years’ work-related experience in the semiconductor industry or related area (full military equivalent may substitute for degree) or Technical Degree

Knowledge areas/Skills

  • 8 years‘ experience in service operations and customer facing role along with a minimum of 5 years‘ experience supporting in a customer environment.
  • Proven record of achievement against goals.
  • Ability to operate within a matrix management environment.
  • Strong leadership, influencing and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
