About The Role

eBay seeks a Technical Product Manager to join its continuing effort to build a best in class eCommerce experience. We are building the next generation of our platform and we need strong Product Managers with a passion to delight people and help realize our vision. As a Product Manager, Home and Garden, you will lead our end to end product strategy and product discovery, owning critical initiatives across the spectrum working with selling and buying experiences, Payments, Shipping, Trust and Catalog teams. We’re looking for someone passionate about and well-versed in the eCommerce space, able to formulate a strong view on what we need to build (and in what order) to make our buyers and sellers successful and achieve our business and strategic goals. You will report to the Product Lead for Home and Garden Initiative as you partner with Engineering, Design, Analytics, and other product and platform teams across eBay to integrate and launch remarkable experiences. You will work closely with senior management and cross functional teams to define the product vision, strategy and roadmap. Successful candidates will have a track record of independently leading complex consumer-facing online experiences, preferably relating to eCommerce and the retail space. They should be entrepreneurial, highly organized, comfortable with ambiguity, effective at facilitating alignment across cross-functional teams, and a knack for connecting the pieces necessary to take sophisticated projects from concept to delivery at scale.

This role will be located in London and supports working remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a program of initiatives focused on the Home and Garden vertical
  • Collaborate with business and product partners to deliver on business objectives
  • Partner with different product and technology teams to manage, prioritize, and launch features/changes critical to improving the Home and Garden experience
  • Work with teams such as user research, analytics and experimentation that are essential to the program’s success
  • Prepare communication materials for leadership and business partners
  • Lead the project and program management of a category within the Home and Garden vertical
  • Own project plan to keep teams and counterparts on target for all deliverables
  • Share detailed, weekly status updates using organized and professional formats
  • Facilitate feature enhancement rollouts by working with product and business teams from concept to launch and ongoing maintenance
  • Manage multiple work streams and projects in a fast-moving environment by liaising with cross functional partners such as: the sneakers business team, shipping, product, GCX, marketing, and more
  • Budget forecasting, tracking & reconciling – analytical and Excel skills required. SQL knowledge preferred
  • Host meetings with cross functional partners and business units to recap performance and identify process improvements

Qualification And Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of product management experience in ecommerce or similar online business
  • BA/BS required, MBA or similar graduate degree preferred but not required
  • A generalist who can flex and deliver on evolving business needs
  • Executive presentation skills including creating professional Powerpoints regularly
  • Experience analyzing business metrics and reporting out weekly on performance using common metrics
  • Agility, comfort with changing/ evolving direction
  • Strong communication cross functionally is critical
  • Ability to work independently to achieve goals on time
  • Ability to hold others accountable
  • Extremely detail oriented and organized
