Job Description:

The position reports to the Internal Communications Business Partner for Operations, to support our customer facing members of the operations community. Using the functional strategy, this person will define the internal communications plans, including the narrative; and will be in responsible for the creative implementation.  Measuring the success of these campaigns based on audience engagement, is a critical success factor.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Helping them shape their story and vision and articulate it in an engaging and inspiring way for their people
  • Ensure that two way conversation is encouraged in all communications plans / the function
  • Develop and deliver internal campaigns to support business objectives
  • Provide advice / consultancy to the wider IC function – to ensure that they are aware of anything that may have an impact on their requirements
  • Evaluating and measuring communications activities
  • Providing strategic advice on the most appropriate and best practice methods for delivery of key messages
  • Using excellent writing/editing skills to shape messages and align with business goals and strategy
  • Be the gatekeepers of the frontline communities for the IC team

Job Requirements:

  • A creative thinker who can develop and implement ideas in line with airline culture.
  • We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills – ability to project manage. Ability to deal with pressure and fluctuating priorities and get things done.
  • Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good presenter – able to make recommendations with gravitas and inspire confidence in others.
  • Confident, articulate with excellent listening skills.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Ideally a minimum five years’ experience in Internal Communications.
  • Experience of working closely with senior management and influential stakeholders. Has the ability to be assertive and manage difficult situations.
  • Experience of acting as a ‘communications consultant’ with an understanding of how to define business driven, results oriented internal communications plans either in an agency or in-house.
