Job Description:

The Market Strategy & Intelligence team is the forward-looking arm of the Enterprise Strategy organization, responsible for delivering strategy and market insights to inform future state scenarios. As part of this responsibility, the team creates and maintains a roadmap of executable growth opportunities across identified customer segments and product lines, creating a set of key segment level playbooks for use by product development, business development and sales functions. The team addresses regulated and non-regulated product and service opportunities in both native and non-native footprints. The Analytics group, as function of Strategic Intelligence, identifies and prioritizes growth opportunities through data-supported quantitative analysis of applicable markets to estimate financial potential and market share for Duke.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a working relationship with defined internal & external stakeholders to deliver key growth opportunities
  • Analyze risk potential and impact
  • Maintain leading edge knowledge of industry discipline in market opportunity analysis across energy industry and other relevant industries & periodically reevaluate internal tools, data sets and process
  • Engage key analytical stakeholders to achieve buy-in and support of market strategy analytics discipline internally
  • Generate all required analytics and analysis for identified opportunities, including market share, EBIT potential, take rates, willingness to pay, and resource requirements
  • Maintain analysis integrity across regulated and non-regulated approaches

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated strength in communication and collaboration skills
  • A command of strategic analysis concepts, and demonstrated experience in financial analysis and quantitative modeling
  • Ability to translate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Sensitivity analysis and forecasting experience
  • Accustomed to gathering and managing diverse, large data sets
  • Foundational knowledge of the energy industry and market strategy

Qualification & Experience:

  • In addition to desired degree, 5 plus years related work
  • Master’s degree in Finance or
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or
