This is the intermediate level of the Customer Research job hierarchy. Employees at this level perform assignments more complex in nature with general supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and the ability to work with greater independence. They effectively apply fundamental concepts to work that is fairly complex and varied.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to qualitative and statistical research techniques to provide the organization customer and market insights that help shape decision making and inform product and service decisions; anticipates and positions research for emerging market trends; contributes to recommendation of performance incentive performance targets
  • Participates in market research and customer research programs to provide objective, reliable data and insights to support strategies, tactics and other business decisions in diverse areas.
  • Executes research that includes tracking customer satisfaction and customer loyalty (NPS); reports results to customer-facing organizations; informs strategies to improve customer satisfaction results.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to deal with a variety of individuals
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated advancing application of market research theories and principles
    Customer specific experience
  • Understanding of basic principles of project management
  • Demonstrated application of analytical tools such SAS or SPSS and survey programming tools such as Qualtrics

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience in the utility industry
  • Bachelor’s degree and two plus years job related experience OR
  • A Master’s degree can be applied in lieu of work experience
