Virtual Meetings Specialist The AAP is currently working remotely with an anticipated return to work date of March 28, 2022. The re-entry plan will be a hybrid approach. If so, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is seeking a Virtual Meetings Specialist to provide support for virtual and hybrid meetings in the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) on-site conference center using various conferencing platforms and services. Qualifications needed Bachelorrsquos degree in computer science required, or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience. At least 2 yearsrsquo related experience supporting enterprise virtual meeting platforms and providing hands-on support to meeting organizers and attendees. Excellent organizational, verbal written communication, critical thinking, interpersonal, and customer service skills required. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize, think creatively, problem solvetroubleshoot under pressure, work both independently and as part of a team, collaborate effectively with various constituents, and promote and maintain a positive and cooperative team-oriented work environment with a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Some overtime and weekend work may be required.

Some tasks include Provide daily operational and technical support of video conferences and virtual meetings and events primarily using Microsoft Teams, WebEx, and Zoom. Manage video conference scheduling create and manage user accounts and escalate issues to appropriate staff as needed. Assist in the setup and support of virtual conferencing meetings using various platforms and technologies. Ensure continuity and seamless meeting experience for attendees. Aid staff with virtual conferencing related issues and facilitate resolutions. Work with outside vendors to resolve issues and perform updatesupgrades, as needed. Document and report on the various conferencing platforms, their usage, and associated costs.
