1st shift (United States of America) Please review the following job description: Support the planning, development, implementation and onsite coordination of meetings and special events, including incentive trips, regional and national sales meetings, training meetings, business meetings, trade shows, seminars, conferences, golf tournaments and other general business events. Position will be work from home remote.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Assist with planning of meetings and special events for the organization, from seminars and meetings to conferences and incentive trips.
  • Support monitoring and controlling event budgets and negotiation of necessary contracts and invoices.
  • Support meeting planner in developing and delivering all aspects of larger events, coordinating services and vendors for events, such as accommodation and transportation for participants, facilities, catering, signage, displays, amenities, entertainment, decor, special needs requirements, printing and event security. +
  • Handle complete fulfillment of smaller events.
  • Manage meeting requests via centralized request form.
  • Review and reconcile bills and submit to finance for processing
  • Provide on site support for larger events
  • Learn and use the Cvent registration system to set up and manage meeting registrations, attendance, reports and tracking.
  • Distribute post-event evaluations in order to determine how future events could be improved.

  • Experience with PCs in a Windows environment
  • Relies on good judgment to plan and accomplish goals, as well as handle unusual requests and difficult people.
  • Strong personal and project management skills, at an assistant level, are a requirement for this position.
  • General knowledge of Crump, its carriers, business partners, and affiliates, as well as general understanding of the life insurance industry is beneficial.
  • Extensive PC knowledge – Word, Excel, and MS Outlook and ability to work with event planning software packages is essential.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prioritization, flexibility, and excellent time management are keys to job success.
  • Extremely flexible schedule, to accommodate event dates, which often require weekend and late night work, as well as travel.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations are beneficial for building relationships with fellow employees and to successfully complete job requirements.
  • Four year college degree in communications or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Prior meeting and event planning experience beneficial.
  • Meeting/event planning certifications preferred
