About the job

As a Senior Construction Manager, you will develop scope and budgets, manage and execute facility-based construction project work plans. You will play a vital role in overseeing a project team and contractors to stay within project scope and budget while ensuring on-time delivery. Additional responsibilities will include but not limited to; communicating with design/facilities/security and network teams regarding modifications to the facilities construction, electrical, network, and security, as well as managing relationships with outside suppliers, including general contractors, architects, and engineering firms. You will also maintain project files, plan documents, operations and maintenance manuals and related project documentation for transfer to the facilities operating team and business end-users.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications :

  • At least 8 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
    • At least 3 years of properties and/or facilities work experience
    • High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Associate’s degree
  • At least 3 years of capital project management work experience
  • At least 5 years of construction work experience
  • At least 3 years of commercial, corporate office construction work experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

Expectations :

  • Must reside or be willing to relocate to the greater Kansas City metropolitan area
  • Experience/knowledge across all facets of the commercial construction process including general construction, MEP, network, general building systems
  • Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within the scope of the position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
