As a Senior Project Planning/Scheduling Engineer you will analyze proposals and contracts to identify project phases, forecast time and resource estimates and establish comprehensive master project schedules, considering appropriate sequencing of project phases and tasks, project dependencies and availability of funding and resources. This role will allow you to oversee assignment of project team members or third parties to specific phases or tasks, proactively partnering with manpower analysts and resource managers to understand resource requirements and ensure resource availability. You will monitor project team delivery against project schedules, ensuring work meets scope, schedule and budget commitments. In scope will be to review and approve changes to master project plans and schedules, analyze the operational, financial and contractual impacts and communicate to project team members and other stakeholders accordingly. You will provide regular updates to project leadership including overall schedule performance, operational trends and project risks and mitigation efforts. This role will allow you to conduct analysis on the operational, financial and contractual impacts of delays, changes or other disruptions to the project schedule and the broader project success. Finally, you will perform schedule risk assessments (SRAs) to identify potential project risks and implement corrective actions, escalating to project leadership as necessary. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

  • At least 8 years of total combined higher education and related work experience including:
    • At least 2 years of project/program management work experience
    • At least 6 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job
    • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
    • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

    Preferred Qualifications :

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Care, Information Technology
    • Experience developing schedules that meet the DCMA and GAO scheduling standards

    Expectations :

    • Must be reside in or willing to relocate to the Arlington, VA area
    • Must be willing to travel up to 10% as needed
    • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
    • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
    • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
