The successful candidate will work in a highly motivated, busy; yet supportive operational team within Childrens Services providing management support to our CAMHS administration team, and operational support to our CAMHS Clinical Team. Linking regionally with colleagues to ensure good practice is shared and continue to maintain good working relationships.   • Responsible for the management of all administrative, secretarial and clerical staff within the department.
  • Analyse a range of complex data to provide relevant reports relating to targets to the Senior management structure.
  • Ensure that performance targets as outlined by the Welsh Government are met with particular reference to the waiting time targets including Healthy Child Wales Programme
  • Ensure the effective and efficient use of physical and financial resources. This will include the evaluation of competing demands from across the department and subsequent decision-making regarding the allocation of staff resources to ensure the needs of the service are met in the most efficient and appropriate manner.
  • Initiate and facilitate the development of administration and clerical services across the department to respond to changing service demands and key national initiatives.
  • To lead on service development projects that impact across the administration and clerical section of the Department
  • Lead on specific projects as directed by the Deputy Operations Manager

Main duties of the job

Monitor progress of administrative management and provide relevant feedback on achievements and work collaboratively to plan to meet these targets.

Working closely with other members of the Management Team, the post-holder has direct operational and management responsibility for all the administrative, clerical and secretarial staff within the team. The post holder will be expected to identify & implement new and improved ways of working to support the Management Team in the achievement of key operational and strategic objectives for the division. The post holder will be expected to produce routine and ad hoc information to support the monitoring of quality indicators and the achievement of key division objectives.

The successful candidate will have possess leadership skills and will be required to demonstrate previous experience of managing staff and budgets, along with possessing excellent people management skills including the ability to influence and negotiate to ensure service delivery and continuous improvements are made.

The post holder will manage projects at a local or regional level and therefore excellent project management and organisational skills will be essential.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
