We are currently seeking a Material Handler, 3rd Shift for our New Hudson, Michigan location. The successful candidate will be responsible for the movement of raw materials to/from different departments and process areas; scanning and stocking materials; and following the processes as described by the job/work instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a fork truck/hi-lo to move product throughout the manufacturing facility
  • Stock raw material, move completed material to storage or shipping locations, and stock line side rack
  • Work within different departments as directed
  • Sort, organize, arrange, and store dunnage returned from customers
  • Move raw goods from inventory location to point of use
  • Move in-process product among work centers
  • Load bins and contents into production lines
  • Electronically locate and transfer raw goods and finished product utilizing hand held scanners
  • Assemble raw goods to include boxes and spools
  • Report all incidents involving fork truck/hi-lo accidents promptly to supervisor or SHEQ

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or warehouse experience
  • Material handling fork truck driving experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of Safety and Quality come first
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lift and move materials, up to 50 lbs. regularly throughout work day required

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
