Job Description:

Seeking an experienced IT business analyst, to contribute to an exciting opportunity supporting the Private Equity fund-of-funds, secondary, and co-investment business verticals in our Dallas branch. This team works remotely. If you prefer, you have the option to work in-person from our Dallas office.

This person will be responsible for translating requirements into features on an existing application and also for defining features on a new streamlined version of that application. This will require business process analysis for all aspects of the business. This individual will work with different groups within business and technology preparing user stories, acceptance criteria, and acting as the Subject Matter Expert for the implementation.

The role is responsible for analyst activities related to Maintenance & Operations, client requests, an Upgrade to the application, and additional Transformation Projects. This role defines the current and future operational scenarios (processes, models, use cases) and works with the users and technology to ensure proper translation of business requirements to IT solution requirements. This involves user interaction, Software Integration Testing (SIT), and working all activities through Software Development Lifecycle and Agile processes in place at the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expert liaison between end users and the development team, so end user requests are understood and translated into what is actually needed.
  • Return on Investment analysis to assure features are prioritized into deliverables that will maximize product value. Maintenance of the product roadmap plan.
  • Management of end user expectations through communications and influence, based on business justifications.
  • Development of a positive and professional business relationship with internal as well as external users.
  • Savvy in establishing and maintaining an application throughout the full SDLC.
  • Creation of “As-Is and “To-Be business processes, so process improvements and changes are illustrated and documented.
  • Verification of the design against the requirements to identify potential gaps and to provide business strategy remedies for those potential gaps.
  • Troubleshooting and providing pro-active solutions.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree preferred.
  • 3 to 5+ years of work experience gathering requirements, and writing acceptance criteria, test plans and procedures, tracking errors and documenting test results.
  • Demonstrates expertise in extracting business requirements and stories using standard methodologies, and procedures.
  • Experience working in the Private Equity Fund of Fund (FOF) market is preferred.
  • Experience working with Private Equity Software systems like eFront FrontInvest is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possesses a can-do attitude, resourceful, excellent work ethic, enthusiastic, customer-oriented.
