AGIA is seeking a high integrity, highly motivated individual to join our organization asVice President, responsible for developing the travel market entry businessstrategy to expand AGIA’s travel assistance business. This position will be responsible for prospecting, signing and cultivating newpartnerships to achieve profitable revenue growth for AGIA’s travel assistance business.They will work closely with business leaders to promote new business opportunities andsecure new connections. They should be passionate about growing our travel sectorrevenue and know how to nurture new distribution relationships. The successful candidate will be a competitive and driven self-starter who is able toproduce profitable, new business revenue in an extensive geographic territory. Successwill be measured in new business revenue generated on an annual basis.Previous Travel Market experience required.**The VP of Loyalty Partnerships charts the course and develops the vision that will propel the companytowards increased revenue and greater recognition in the travel sector.Reporting RelationshipsPosition reports to: Senior Vice President, MarketingEssential Job Functions
Develop a thorough understanding of AGIA’s travel assistance products and conduct a detailed qualitative and quantitative market analysis to assess viability of potential new business and travel channel distribution opportunities.
Gather, analyze, and communicate key travel industry trends and information andreport out to the appropriate parties at AGIA on a quarterly basis. Using data andinsights, recommend and develop effective travel market penetration strategies for AGIA’s flagship travel assistance product.
Utilize existing relationships and cultivate new ones to generate prospects anddevelop profitable new relationships within the travel market to increase growth ofAGIA’s travel assistance product.
Engage targeted prospects to identify and secure business opportunitiesfor AGIA.
Lead the sales proposal process with support from internal departments.
Collaborate with the Senior Vice President of Marketing, Chief FinancialOfficer, and product marketing and administrative services leadership tonegotiate and execute agreements that deliver new business revenue atacceptable levels of profit.
Engage AGIA business teams to ensure effective new client on-boarding,including supporting development of training and marketing materials asappropriate.
Support account management teams by providing supplemental on-goingclient relationship management for new partners, as appropriate.
Maintain an awareness and understanding of the travel and travel loyalty marketsas well as the travel assistance markets, and related competitive products andservices. Collaborate with Product Development to provide key information tomaintain and update industry competitive analysis.
Develop and maintain a business development pipeline report, documentingprospecting activities, and provide to business leadership on a monthly basis.Maintain and update all prospect data in sales database.
Attend and represent AGIA’s travel assistance brand at relevant industryconferences and events.
Establish and maintain positive relationships within AGIA’s business teams tohelp operationalize new strategic partnerships.
Align areas of responsibility with corporate strategy and objectives to promoteefficiency and optimize productivity.
Identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement within each functionalarea of responsibility.
Build partnerships with peers and leadership to work collaborativelyacross divisions and to drive accountability, best practices andachievement of company projects and exceptional customer service.
Measure progress and modify plans to ensure results meet deliverytimelines and requirement expectations and are tied to companyobjectives.
Support and promote an organizational culture that demands continuousimprovement and individual and team accountability real time.
Perform Other Miscellaneous Functions And Special Projects As Assigned.
Performance Measurements
Travel sector market penetration strategies are developed and executed.
Strategic partnerships are created with travel market target prospects.
Prospecting and new business revenue development plans are built andexecuted as mutually agreed.
Achieve new business revenue targets as mutually agreed.
Qualifications
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or marketing, or equivalent experience. Membership with travel trade association desirable.
Required Experience: Minimum ten years of business development experience including sales, marketing, and account management in the travel market.
Required Knowledge:
Knowledge of sales principles and practices.
Knowledge of travel or loyalty markets.
Knowledge of product management process.
Knowledge of relationship management tools and practices.
Skills/Abilities:
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office.
Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
Ability to read, understand and negotiate contracts.
Ability to coordinate diverse groups of people outside of direct chain of command.
Negotiation Skills With Potential Clients Or Other Outside Entities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
Travel: Up to 50% domestic travel as needed.
Work Schedule: Regular office schedule.
