- Description:* This position is with Toyota’s corporate group- Toyota Motor North America and will be based in San Antonio, TX They are seeking a project engineer in their paint department and responsibilities are below: Who we’re looking for Toyota’s Production Engineering Paint Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Texas Regional Engineer. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead new model change activity and competitiveness improvement projects for TMMTX. Reporting to the Texas Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint department’s objective to confirm safety, quality, productivity and costs for all process required for new models and other Texas related projects. What you’ll be doing
- Create Presentations and Reports to communicate project status and KPI’s.
- Install new or modified processes leading all aspects from installation to meeting final quality KPI.
- Create Scopes of work including schedule, key process RJ requirements, and quality requirements.
- Communicate with several PE and external groups to ensure project schedules and budgets are kept.
- Lead meetings with vendors, plant, quality and other groups to ensure a common direction *Additional Skills & Qualifications:*
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an Engineering Discipline
- Experience working in an Automotive Paint Environment
- Work experience using Catia and AutoCAD
- Work experience using Microsoft Excel and Power Point Added bonus if you have:
- Paint Process Experience working on new model introductions
- Project Management experience
- Paint Robot Implementation Projects
- Conveyance Project Experience (Overhead, P&F, Electrified Monorail)
- General Understanding of NFPA Standards
