• Description:* The Sr Manufacturing Engineer will be the Operations / Manufacturing leader in’ New Product Development (NPD) team. This position is the manufacturing representative on the cross functional development team producing high quality medical products. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in setting up manufacturing plans/processes for new product design. This engineer will be included at team formation, determining customer needs, requirements development, design, sourcing, supply chain creation, vendor selection, qualification through verification/ validation and release. The Sr Manufacturing Engineer will be the design transfer leader from the development team, to ongoing production. Once complete the Sr Manufacturing Engineer will be reassigned to the next new product development team. This is a very unique opportunity to be a part of the design team, specializing in the operations and manufacturing aspects of the product with early input and decision-making authority. This exciting role is very dynamic, and works on many different product lines and aspects within the business. The position involves; building robots, imaging devices, surgical navigation, implants, sensors, complex user interfaces, real world surgical procedures and cutting edge technologies. As a part of New Product Development, this role calls for cross functional teamwork, great communication skills, working with internal customers, vendors, suppliers and outside manufacturing. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES The Sr Manufacturing Engineer will lead production and operations activities required to produce high quality new designs for products. The position will support multiple sites and products across the enterprise. He/she will have responsibility for creating how and where new products will be designed for manufacturability, where they will be built, vendor and supply chain choices as well as creating the sustained operations plan. ▪ Ensure build of high quality, safe products ▪ Lead the efforts to map out manufacturing processes for new product development ▪ Demonstrate leadership in identifying how products are to be developed

▪ Provide appropriate internal and external requirements for the cross functional design team ▪ Review designs and prints for DFM/DFA and work with Engineering and vendors to ensure product can be manufactured efficiently and meet specifications ▪ Communicate across functional lines, geographies and product lines to build cohesion of efforts and results ▪ Work closely with released product Manufacturing and Operations to ensure their voice is heard on the design teams and be the lead in design transfer ▪ Cultivate excellent relationships with outside vendors, look for synergies and building a larger team cohesion among vendors/ partners ▪ Support implementation of manufacturing changes that require qualification and/ or validation of new equipment or processes ▪ Lead investigations for non-conforming product and product complaints that result from manufacturing issues

• Additional Skills & Qualifications:* Must: -5+ years in a manufacturing engineer role -V&V (FMEA, protocol, other validations) -Regulated Industry experience (pref Med Device, but aviation, aerospace, etc. all work) -Machining/Manufacturing Environment *-Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance* ** Plus: -Lean six sigma -Laser marking or finishing machinery -Medical Device
