Actalent Engineering is recruiting for a Project Manager with Quality Systems Management experience, for a large OEM medical device client in the Memphis metro area.

  • Description:* The QMS Project Manager will support or drive the delivery of key projects within the Quality organization and/or act as a representative from Quality. Quality Management System integration participation will be the primary role for this position. The QMS Project Manager will be responsible for the development and management of moderate to large in scope projects, as assigned by the Quality manager. The position is responsible for actively participating or leading significant initiatives or transitions within the organization by successfully managing and communicating performance to key metrics, building strong work relationships, providing relevant expertise and analysis to the project as well as escalating issues, as appropriate, while maintaining compliance to all government regulations and Company procedures/polices.
  • Job Role:*
  • Implement, develop, and manage quality and regulatory compliance projects along with actively monitoring and mitigating project risk and reporting key compliance metrics that demonstrates the success of the project.
  • Takes personal accountability for project results and acts with the appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Analyzes data to make fact-based recommendations/decisions and help determine solutions
  • Creates and executes processes that support the project goals and maintains compliance to applicable standards, regulations, procedures/policies
  • Anticipates/identifies areas of concern and brings them to the appropriate personnel in a concise and actionable manner at the appropriate time
  • Support with External Audits (e.g. US FDA audits, Notified body Audits)
  • Maintain audit readiness regarding all policies, procedures, and documentation standards
  • Keep current Knowledge of relevant/important regulations, standards, procedures/policies internally and externally
  • Qualifications:* BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or other position related BS degree
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Minimum 0-3 years relevant experience working in a medical device company, regulated environment or equivalent.
  • Strong Project Management Experience
  • Strong computer skills particularly with MS Office Suite
  • Experience with auditing to standards is a plus
  • Regulatory affairs or regulatory compliance experience in a medical device company is a plus
