- Primary Duties* The purpose of this position is to provide the procurement/invoice processing support in the construction efforts. In this role, candidate will support the project’s Procurement lead with procurement activities which include supplier development, workflow management, equipment, construction package and equipment expediting.
Candidate will also support the project’s Cost Controller and will serve as a key point of communication between stakeholders. * *
- Responsibilities*
- Utilizes independent problem-solving techniques and skills, including collecting and analyzing details of the Purchase Order process, including managing WBS specifications
- The ability to follow through on the proper workflow for PR/PO, Invoice and PCO’s and follow through with expediting of required material deliveries.
- Monitor supplier performance and change notices. Initiate tracking of information
- Assures that contracts, purchase orders and commitments are properly closed-out in the local accounting system
- Manages quality control, product delivery dates and resolve vendor disputes
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex and changing market factors, evaluate alternative procurement options, and recommend or implement effective courses of action
- Maintains excellent file documentation, standard format and record retention consistent with regulations and policies for all procurement and financial operations
- Activities include supplier development, contract management, supplier relationships, improve communication between the central procurement and finance teams and the project stakeholders and other duties as assigned
- Effectively works with suppliers and internal teams and acts as escalation point to ensure continuity of supply to support the business unit requirements
- Education and Experience Requirements*
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, construction, or similar
- 5+ years procurement experience with a focus on construction
- Knowledge of computer-based procurement and financial systems; demonstrated skills using various software
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus
- Experience working on a capital project – Plus

- Excellent oral, written, analytical and presentation skills, including ability to communicate effectively to key stakeholders
- Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced, rapid growth business environment and maintain self-starter energy, opportunity focus, and the well-organized work style that this requires
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of computer-based procurement systems and financial systems; demonstrated skills using various software
